City Tour of Bern

Since May 2007 Bern Tourism has offered visitors to the city a very special Texetera audio guide. It is the first illustrated city walk on iPod in the world. You hire the device at the Bern Tourism's Tourist Center and take it with you as you walk through the city, a Unesco World Heritage site.

Stroll through the streets of Bern and listen to intriguing stories about the old city and the people who live there. Hear an example of the strange Bernese language called Matte-Änglisch, and see inside the Zytglogge clock tower - on the screen of your iPod. The wealth of different types of music and sound effects will give you an idea of what living in Bern is all about...

You have a choice of two tours and five languages. A selection of photos on the iPod will help you find your way around the city.
