Since our first audio guide in 2005 we have specialised in using iPods. The iPod, which was originally developed as an MP3 player for listening to music, has now become a fully-fledged multi-media device. It's a simple matter to load onto it not only audio files but also pictures and films.

Texetera programmes the devices so that they are a little bit different from a normal iPod. The usual menu is blocked, and replaced by a special audio guide menu, where all the visitor has to select is the language and a number.
Should you wish, we can also programme linear tours for you. In this mode visitors do not select the items point by point, but start the whole tour with a click. They can then tour the exhibition or building without a break, and without having to press a single button once they've started.
Ever since the iPod added the facility of showing pictures and videos, Texetera has included them as ways to enhance its audio guides. For example, if your guide is for a city tour, you could have pictures of the spot where the visitor is standing to listen to a particular commentary. And videos can show them things that they would otherwise not be able to see.
We deliver the iPods fully equipped and ready for use. The complete kit that you receive normally consists of headphones, battery charger, case and strap. Should you wish, we can also supply a charging station developed by Texetera. It's been designed to fit neatly into standard office furniture. Ideal when you order a large number.
